This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Su-25 entering flight testing, and to commemorate this we will be bringing you a new, free Su-25 for DCS! We are confident this will be popular for “Red Air” pilots and provide an excellent experience for initial and seasoned pilots. Earlier this year we announced our very first full fidelity Soviet 4th generation fighter. Our MiG-29A Fulcrum is advancing full speed and our dedicated team has been working diligently for a release in Q2 2025. Please check out our development screenshots and read the project status update below.

This week we released the highly anticipated Iraq map into early access. This is a great addition to DCS and represents one of the most important combat theaters of the late-20th and early 21st centuries. The Iraq map captures the rich history, diverse geography, and pivotal battlefields of the region. The focus of this initial, Northern region, is provided to support missions and campaigns mainly pertaining to the Global War on Terror and ISIS. Later, the Southern region will be added to support Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Watch the Iraq launch trailer!

In light of some questions from our community, we have expanded our article exploring the intricate navigation system of the DCS: F-16C Viper. In this white paper, we update you on how the aircraft combines its Inertial Navigation System (INS) with the Global Positioning System (GPS) by processing both data streams through a Kalman filter to provide precise and reliable navigation data. This integrated approach leverages the stability and autonomy of the INS alongside the accuracy of GPS. This effectively mitigates the individual limitations of each system.
