This mission is a toned down version of the normal Kola A2A map I’ve uploaded in that the enemies are earlier air-frames such as the Mig-15bis, Mig-21, Mig-19 ect. This mission is designed for the smaller and older planes in DCS you can fly the C101-CC, Mig-15bis, Mig-19P, Mig-21Bis, MB-339A, L-39ZA, Mirage F1-CE, Mirage F1-EE, Mirage F1-BE, F-5-E3, F-86F, and F-4E-45MC. The Phantoms and Mirages may be a bit overkill for the enemies at hand but feel free to change load-outs. This mission focuses on air to air combat but one or 2 of the airframes focus on ground attack. Recommend installing mods in description to play as intended. Uploaded 12-3-24 V1.0

In this first mission in the Hornet/Tomcat focussed missions, we begin our campaign to force Tropico to capitulate, and end their harassment of other free Caribbean nations.

Our tasking for todays mission is the destruction of Tropicos older, but threatening carrier group, sheltering and re-supplying inside a small archipeligo.

Ace Combat - ISAF 178th Fighter Squadron ‘Swordsmen’ A-4E San Salvacion

Formed in 2004, and placed under the command of former San Salvacion Air Force officers, the 178th Fighter Squadron “Swordsmen” was an integral part of the Independent States Allied Force’s ground support infrastructure when taking back the Usean continent from Erusean control.

Flying donated A-4E Skyhawks, the Swordsmen would focus almost exclusively on Close-air-support of ISAF Ground units during the push through the northern lands of Usea, starting at St Ark and moving westward until reaching San Salvacion. The unit would not participate in further incursions into Erusea, and would be disbanded in 2006 following the dissolution of ISAF.

Today the Aircraft flown by the 178th still exist within Museums dedicated to the conflict, or have been relocated to boneyards in Usea.
