This mod works with DCS World 2.5.6, from version 2.5.6.50321 up to 2.5.6.61527.3 (the final release of 2.5.6, before 2.7).

This is a modification to slightly improve performance with little to none image quality loss, and no issues with slow loading of missions.
It works with regular screen monitors, and also with VR.

This mod is also IC compliant for Multiplayer (no issues whatsoever in Online MP, if using DCS 2.5.6).

PLEASE NOTE: this mod will NOT work with the newer versions of DCS (2.7, 2.8 or 2.9).

This is a complete pack with a lot of northern animals for decoration etc.

To pointing me in the right direction with sling loading, I thank @Grajo very much with his MOD: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310436/

Some of the animals have been already in a Mod-Pack earlier on, which is no longer working in 2.5. I brought them up to the new standard and modified them.
Some of the animals were coming from Sketchfab and the user Pablo444 under CC Attribution.

I modified them with Blender 2.91 (Poligon reduction and DCS Structuring) and exported them to EDM Format.
My next plans are to create animated animals. However I have first to learn the DCS structures for exporting "bone deforming" EDMs.

This is a complete pack with a lot of animals for decoration, some are transportable and one "boar in cage" for sling loading.

**I will be working on updating the textures and trying to figure out how to change the splatmap textures so we can enjoy winter in 2.7!**

Usage:
-These textures replace the Autumn textures on the Normandy map, so to use it, simply set the date to any month in Autumn.

Installation:

-Unzip the Normandy_Winter_Textures.zip
-Place all content in DCS World/Mods/Terrains/Normandy/Vfxtextures

If you want to keep it save, you can use JSGME
-Download link:

If you do not use JSGME, make sure that you create a backup of the Vfxtextures folder.

This mod does not pass the IC check.

Issues:

Australian Daring Class Destroyers, HMAS Vampire [D11], and livery for HMAS Vendetta [D08].

HMAS Vampire was the third of three Australian-built Daring class destroyers serving in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). One of the first all-welded ships built in Australia, she was constructed at Cockatoo Island Dockyard between 1952 and 1959, and was commissioned into the RAN a day after completion.

She was one of the last all gun Destroyers in the Royal Australian Navy.  Regularly required to do plane guard duties for HMAS Melbourne II with her sister ships HMAS Vendetta [D08] and HMAS Voyager [D04].

Armed with 6 x 40mm Bofors guns in 2 single and 2 dual mount turrets for air defence, and 6x 4.5in Guns in the 3 main turrets.

HMAS Voyager not included as she was bisected by the HMAS Melbourne in 1964 and was resting on the bottom of the Tasman Sea when these 2 ships had their mid-life refits in 1970 (as modeled here).

Livery is included for her sister ship HMAS Vendetta [D08].

Adds a 2 POS Slider switch (I use on my X56) speedbrake command to the F/A-18C, F-16CM, A-10C. F-14B, JF-17 (this one replaces the T3 down command), and AV-8B N/A. Just delete the aircraft you don't have/want. OvGME ready.

The idea is not new.  But Opacity in Labels.lua is broken and many don't realize there is workaround.
This Labels file is adjusted to be subtle enhancement to visibility.

Install:  Extract to DCS Main install path or use mod manager.  Must choose Dots only labels in game.

I have included comments in the file for further adjustment per your preference.  Search for Taz1004.

Dot size will depend on your screen resolution and can be adjusted with font size in line 60
Recommend font size of 3 or 4 for VR.  8 for 4K monitor.

A big thank you to J.P. BRISARD for his basic model, we know that he has reached the stars and we salute his memory.
We have designed a fully functional but not clickable C-130H cockpit? based on A10A avionics. The cockpit of the J digital was too complex for our small means.
But to perfect your pilot experience where to learn flight instruments is ideal.
We worked the sounds with recordings of the real Rolls-Royce Allison AE 2100 D3 engines.
You will have the choice between a badin in knots or kmh. as well as a sheet for important keys,
the same as you will find on the tablet in the cockpit. you will have the choice between two compass maps, Caucasus or Persian Golf.
This mod was requested by pilots from the French Air Force who use
in their DCS simulator. Good flight.

I managed to place the camera in the cockpit with help of Views.lua file fr om the TF-51D aircraft. (cockpit is low resolution... But still more immersive than previous MiG-25 mod wh ere camera floats above canopy)

Sadly couldn't get Su-25T Cockpit and R-40R missiles to work (R-40T still works, aimpoint is very high though), maybe you can?

i took the type 93 from Deka ironwork sim and copied it, renamed it and placed it on the us side

the type 93 look fairly similar to the Los Angeles class at least enough for a flight sim

still shoots Chinese torpedoes and antiship missiles but operations look similar too the mk48 adcap and tube launched tomahawk
will need to atleast rename weapons and replace with tomahawk

if anyone wants to advanced this mod feel free

This is a simple flyable mod for the MQ-9. Sadly i could not get the cockpit to work but the HUD still shows up. It uses Su-25 avionics and has the same controls. Bombs don't work but the Hellfire missiles do.
Where to download to:
C:\Users\{your name}\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft
If you do not have the Mods or aircraft folder you have to create them.

Night Vision Goggle (NVD) Shader update to make it behave more like the real thing. You can view the cockpit instruments and panels in your peripheral vision. Should work with TrackIR and VR. I am aware that in VR you see two circles but in Track IR you see one. I'm still working on the convergence for the VR viewpoint and will update when I figure out that code. We wanted my brother and I to make an innovative version of the AC-130, with a modernized panel and a speed closer to reality, as versatile as possible and for that you can make all the choices in the mission editor. (See a read-me)<br />

For 50 parachutist select "AIRBORNE" in the mission éditor.<br />

This Mod adds additional UK squadrons to the Logbook, for the British Army, the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm, and the Royal Air Force.

Version 2.5.6 (just as sequencing thing, it should work with any 2.5 version) some updated imagery for the logbook and a few new squadrons for FAA in WWII (moderately pointless but...), this is now pretty much complete from my POV, but, if you have squadrons you want included and you have the imagery PM me and I will see what I can do.

I added in a couple of Fictional Squadrons, and the overlooked much to my chagrin 3 Commando Brigade Air Squadron and CHF, and thanks to @Mordants 736 Squadron FAA  I also found 664 and 651 AAC.

Hi DCS fans.

THIS IS A CLEANUP of warheads.lua for DCS World 2.5, and it is compatible with OvGME.


The "warhead.lua" file, obviously well concieved at one time, had been patched too many times... and was becomming too broken to be just "patched", ending up with some weapons completely inneffective !

As it is, this cleanup MOD, gives more REALISM to weapons. Weapons that are not optimized for one kind of target will be unable to destroy it (or at least not with ease). The new functions use MORE REAL DATA. There is NO MORE DOUBLE STANDARD between function (for example between A2A weapons and Bombs or rockets)

For those who don't like it as it is, I've added MODIFIERS FOR QUICKLY MODIFYING DIFFERENT VARIABLES for all warhead

A revamp of Markindel's DC3 mod available here with his kind permission. Also with their kind permission, packaged with this mod are the civilian airline liveries produced by Markindel and CrazyEddie. The main difference to the original is a complete rework of the FM values in attempt to get the aircraft performance closer to reality.

Adds the ability for Tornado's to fire radar-guided AAM's. Also includes a wider range of A2G weapons, pods and new fuel tanks. Unfortunately, it won't get past the integrity check anymore, but as a workaround, you can install it using JSGME, create some load outs, then uninstall it and you'll be able to sel ect what you've saved when you restart. However, it will lose its radar guidance ability, but it will still allow you to have the nicer pods, bags and A2G weapons. Also added AIM-7MH's and upgraded the drop tanks from the old AI F/A-18.

Tactical Call Sign Mod Version 1.1 and Guide.  Adds 90 new callsigns to DCS Mission Editor.  Guide provides additional detail on DIY callsign creation, mod limitations, etc.
Special thanks to Airogue and Grimes for inspiration and LUA folder location.  This works in DCS OB 2.5.5.X   This version 1.1 incorporates Nightstorm's re-recording of all my original sound files to give them the "radio squawk effect".  Thanks for doing that Nightstorm!

This is a replacement mod for your default DCS World theme.  It installs easily with JSGME.  Enjoy!

Did you enjoy Heatblur's F-14 reveal stream?  Can't wait for the release date?  This theme replaces the default DCS World theme with the new screenshots of the upcoming F-14, and also changes the theme music to Meteor - Fear the Bones by Heatblur.  This should help you with your Tomcat cravings for a short while.  I don't own the rights to any of the artwork or music herein, this is a fan-made mod to celebrate the upcoming F-14 release.
