Kill The Poor - Beagle Conflict [fictional advanced single player mission]

On a misty autumn morning in March 1980, you and your crew are preparing for another escort mission to the outpost on Picton Island.

Jorge Rafael Videla was an Argentine military officer and dictator who was the 47th President of Argentina from 1976 to 1981.  His rule was among the most infamous in Latin America during the Cold War due to its high level of human rights abuses and severe economic mismanagement.  On 5 July 2012, Videla was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the systematic kidnapping of children during his tenure, he died the following year.

Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte was a Chilean military officer who was the dictator of Chile from 1973 to 1990.  Under the influence of the "Chicago Boys", government properties were sold below market price to politically connected buyers.  These policies produced high economic growth and dramatically increased economic inequality.  By the time of his death on 10 December 2006, about 300 criminal charges were still pending against him in Chile for numerous human rights violations during his 17-year rule.

The Beagle conflict was a border dispute between Chile and Argentina over the possession of Picton, Lennox and Nueva islands and the scope of the maritime jurisdiction associated with those islands that brought the countries to the brink of war in 1978.

On a misty autumn morning in March 1980, you and your crew are preparing for another escort mission to the outpost on Picton Island.  Though there has been an uneasy detente between Chile and Argentina since 1978, you have been informed by intel at FARP Berlin, that an Argentinian ship has been spotted loitering in the Beagle Channel.  Treat this as a standard resupply and change of shift escort unless notified by FARP Berlin of enemy activity.  As you climb into the cockpit of your Hind, you have an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach, are you once again going to be ordered to kill the poor?

Escort the Hip to FARP Berlin on Picton Island, the Hip must land and the troops deployed in order to secure the base.  You can land at the base once it is secured and the Hip has vacated the landing area.
Comms - R863: Channel 0 - Colt 1-1, Channel 1 - Porto Williams and FARP Berlin.
Loadout: Only rockets and guns are available, lean on your side gunner, use rockets sparingly.
