The tactical map is aimed at making communication between different forces easier and faster.
The map is built over hi-res frames from the regular F10 map. It covers an area of roughly 25 by 25 miles and includes additional markings of prominent ground features which are easy to locate both on the map and visually during a mission (roads, bridges and towns).

The map is especially useful when coordination is required between forces of different types which do not necessarily have the same navigation and/or designation aids. For instance, when a flight of A-10C's is cooperating in a CAS operation with friendly Ka-50's and need a reliable method of pointing each other to specific targets or areas.
The map can be loaded in a smartphone, tablet or a separate window (can also be adapted to be used in the kneeboard) so that it can be readily available for all participants.
This type of map was tested and was found useful by our community for OPERATION SAFE-NORTH and so I've decided to upload it in a clean configuration (without the special marking of that specific operation) for use of other mission builders who might plan wars in this specific area of the theatre.
In the future I might do similar maps for other regions of the theatre, so…any input / comment would be appreciated!
Have fun,
