In this campaign you will jump into the cockpit seat of the famous Harrier Jump Jet and will fly thrilling missions within a fictional conflict between Alliance and Coalition forces around the Persian Gulf.
Be prepared to operate your AV-8B during VFR and IFR flight conditions from aboard the carrier USS Tarawa and test your skills in various types of missions, such as CAS, precise strike, CAP, fleet protection, search and destroy and some more.
As Lieutenant Klaus Steiner, you have been selected to lead the “Wolverines”, a newly formed squadron within the Alliance. The Alliance represents a coalition of states spanning the US, European Union, Japan, the Americas, and others. Their adversary is the Coalition, a federation led by Russia, Iran, and Syria, under the command of the ruthless Admiral Kulov, who is determined to dismantle the Alliance at any cost.
Peace negotiations, aimed at quelling tensions and averting bloodshed, were underway at the Alliance’s Al Dhafra airbase when Kulov ordered a surprise attack. The base was obliterated, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives, including many Alliance pilots and soldiers, as well as the destruction of critical aircraft, equipment, and munitions. The timing of the attack—just before a pivotal peace event—was no coincidence.
In the wake of this atrocity, the Alliance swiftly called for retaliation. The decision was made for targeted action, with the remaining pilots hastily assembled into newly formed squadrons. Although many of these pilots are untested in combat, they are fiercely determined to defend their cause. As the flight lead of the Wolverine squadron, you are eager to prove your worth and bring the fight to the Coalition’s doorstep.
