A flight of 12 Hueys is tasked with delivering an air cavalry battalion to a hot AO in Vietnam, 1970. A mission heavily based on the helicopter assault scene in the movie Apocalypse Now. The pilot must be able to land in a medium-sized forest clearing. Two UH-1H slots are available, so this mission can either be run alone or with a friend (though of course you are welcome to modify it for larger groups) . Your helicopter has a 20-second spawn delay in order to give time for the AI to start up, so just sit tight once you start the mission.

My attempt at recreating the Huey Assault scene from the movie "Apocalypse Now". The large file size is due to the extensive use of sound files. I do plan on returning and revamping this mission, as this was not the best i could do. I am simply uploading it now because I won't be able to use DCS for the next couple of weeks. There is no specific formation taking place, since I had to have each helicopter as an individual group due to limitations in the AI. I also had to substitute the AH-6s with AH-1s in order to prevent lots of unnecessary mod installations. Enjoy, and feedback is appreciated.
