[FICTIONAL] Traditional Chinese New Year - Good Luck/Prosperity themed skin in celebration of the New Year
UPDATED for Year of the Tiger
JF-17 Chinese New Year livery by PRCCOWBOY
----
I wanted to do a Chinese New Year/Holiday themed livery and of course the JF-17 was the natural choice. My original livery (which looked like a Holiday greeting card) was met with disapproval by my local SME for having "no meaning", so I started over after doing more research on the subject. This is the result.
This Chinese New Year Livery for the JF-17 (Chinese Xiao Long or "fierce dragon") employs traditional Chinese symbolism and colors for luck/prosperity, mixing elements of the sea and sky, the traditional Chinese Phoenix (with body of a pheasant, feathers like a peacocks, and wings of a roc) and the Dragon (together representing the yin and yang), and the nine dragon blessings.
The symbol on the tail is the Chinese Fu symbol meaning "fortune" or "good luck"
Have a Happy Chinese New Year! May you have a good Year of the Tiger. (Xin Nian Kuai Le/Gong Xi Fa Cai)

To Install, Unzip to your DCS user files 'Liveries\JF-17' folder, example:

Notes:
- There is an "easter egg" included in the canopy glass fogging
- The SPJ and BRM pods in the screenshots are not included. The way the JF-17 weapons are modeled requires you to change the textures on all the pods - NOT limited to a single skin (AFAIK). If you have a solution for this or really, really want the textures, PM me.
- Only the 1100 drop tank is skinned
Changelog:
version 1.1 - updated fuel tanks to Year of Tiger
version 1.0 - first release (2021 Year of the OX)
