F-4E 3rd TFS, 69-7555, Clark AB, Philippines

I worked on 555 (Triple Nickel) many times as a crew chief at Clark AB, Philippines back in 1976-1981. This is my 1st attempt at doing any type of skin in DCS, so if you see anything off, it was definitely my fault. It was fun trying to bring her back to what I remember, and stay accurate to the one picture I could find.


Unfortunately, 69-7555 crashed on take-off returning to its home station, Clark Airbase, after a TDY. The aft section caught fire during take-off. Once airborne, the aircrew ejected successfully. The aircraft crashed into the Yellow Sea off the coast of Kunsan AB, South Korea on 5 April 1982.
