A fictional skin for the JF-17 Thunder. Look somewhat like a "Gripen"
Unzip at C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\JF-17
Somewhere in-between a "What-If" and a JAS 39 "Gripen" look-alike. This is the JAS-38 "Ugglan"
Made originally for my mate Jonathan's upcoming multiplayer campaign "Operation Gettysburg", featuring the JF-17 as JAS-38 "Ugglan".
The broad strokes of the backstory to JAS-38 is:
Made to be a low-cost project while the AJS-37 was made to be upgraded for service up till 2020. The plane was made to be durable, robust and easy to fly - Strongly influenced by crafts like MIG-21 and F-5E.
JAS-38 was brought into service in 1993 with focus on the fighter capability to eventually replace JA-37 "Jakt-Viggen"
2001 JAS-38C flew for the first time, now with full NATO standard and the little plane showed it self becoming a great success on the export market, selling to Pakistan, Bulgaria, Hungary and more.
Sweden has plans to operate the aircraft until 2030.
