DCS: Mi-24P Hind by Eagle Dynamics

  • Improved: Petrovich AI targets detection tuning. Now Petrovich will take into account more factors like:
    • If target moving then detection is faster
    • If target is on road then detection is faster
    • If Petrovich already detected this target before and scanning same area again same target will take much less time to detect
  • Added: Petrovich AI now scan for targets routinely from his cockpit when he is not using ATGM aiming sight. Petrovich will report contacts clock wise if he will detect anything. Contacts report if remembered and not spammed constantly, he only warns commander ones then some time should pass before he warns commander about same contacts again. Only subtitles for now.

  • NEW: Added support for Nvidia DLSS. Using upscaling, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) can dramatically improve game performance if you are Graphics Processor Unt (GPU) limited. Please note that if your CPU is limited, DLSS will have little to no performance effect. Owners of Nvidia 40-series graphics card will most benefit from this. With DLSS selected as the Upscaling option, you can further refine quality versus performance with Quality, Balance, Performance, and Ultra Performance presets. WIP
  • NEW: Added support for AMD FSR 2, FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) also using an upscaling algorithm to improve performance. Also like DLSS, it will have little to no effect if you are CPU-limited. WIP.
  • NEW: Anti-Aliasing. If Upscaling is set to OFF, three anti-aliasing modes are available.
    • Multi-Sampling Anti-Aliasing (MSAA)
    • Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA)
    • Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA)
  • NEW: Added graphics option for Screen Space Shadows (SSS). This adds improved shadow detail to grass, bushes, and tree shadows. This is most evident with moving grass and tree shadows at long view distances. WIP.
  • NEW: Color Grading. Select between nine image color gradients that allow you to adjust the tint of the image to provide the desired effect. This can be most useful for video creators.
  • NEW: LOD Switch Factor. The Level of Detail (LOD) slider allows you to adjust the distance at which a unit transitions to lower level of detail models. 1 is the default value, but by setting a lower value, game performance can be increased.
  • NEW: Sharpening. The slider adjusts the image sharpness between 0.00 (default) and 1.00. Sharpening can help make it look crisp and clear by enhancing the edges of objects in the image. However, adding too much sharpness can actually make an image look worse, or it can lead to a loss in image detail. When using DLSS, we suggest a setting of 0.5 and 0.8-1.0 for FSR.
  • NEW: Cinematic Camera View - Right Control + F2. In combination with the mouse, the WASD keys can be used to move the camera forward, back, and laterally, and the Q and E keys can move the camera up and down. This allows the camera to be positioned in reference to the unit’s coordinate system, allowing much greater camera control for cinematic scenes.
  • NEW: 3D Models. Newly created models for the B-1B, B-52H, S-3B (S-3B Tanker to follow shortly), “Centurion” C-RAM, and SA-10 (S-300PS).
  • NEW: Ability to create, save, delete and rename custom weapons loadouts using in game rearm/refuel menu.
  • Improved “spotting dots” added (WIP):
    • Increased dot size at high resolutions
    • Zoom is not affecting dots size

In order to disable new “spotting dots” and revert to previous logic user can put “DotRendererExperiment = False” in autoexec.cfg file located in \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\

  • Improved Replays/Tracks: Improved track replay for human controlled aircraft by conducting more frequent continuity checks, WIP. - Note, increased track file data size when saved to disk.
  • NEW: Advanced Waypoint Action for Unlimited Fuel Option for AI. Please note the task must be at the top of Advanced Waypoint Actions list to make sure it works properly.
  • NEW: Perform Task/Strafing for aircraft and helicopters as Advanced Waypoint Action. You can now set placement, length, attack direction and attack quantity. 
  • NEW: Added helicopter rotor downwash influence on vegetation.
  • Voice chat:
    • Added realistic voice filters for all radio units
    • Added realistic sounds at the end of transmission and effects of multipath interference
    • All options moved to the Audio options page

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

New features:

  • Added the new Mirage F1 BE version that includes the following major features:
  • Full multicrew capability.
  • Sight repeater.
  • Gunpods.
  • Priority control for the following systems: high-lift devices, airbrake, engine emergency regulation, green radio, nav aids, and radar.
  • Several systems repeaters.
  • Added AN/ALE-40 programmer clickability and specific view settings for the Mirage F1 single seater (check the flight manual for description).
  • The horizontal head movement limit is extended to an extra 10 cm when the canopy is open.
  • Implemented sight test procedure.
  • Added external CC-420 gun pods to all F1 variants.
  • Added axis for lights and intercom volume potentiometers.

Engine:

  • Adjusted engine flame-out with tail wind or reversed airflow. It may happen on the ground with extreme winds and at high altitudes with out-of-envelope manoeuvres that involve reversed airflow, such as a tailslide. The RPM has to be set high to minimise the phenomenon.
  • The engine starter button cover is spring loaded now (will close after a time delay).

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

TRAP 136 (‘Green’) and TRAP 137B (‘Red’) radios fixes:

  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Fixed incorrect operation of the radio function selector switch at cold.
  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Fixed inoperative radio at cold cockpit up, when the frequency was selected before the radio was powered on.
  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Selection of the Frequency mode selector 'G' position will not enable the guard receiver anymore. Use 'Pal+G' Function selector position to enable the guard receiver.

Optical Sight:

  • Fixed a bug with wrong gunsight diameter, when entering A/G mode with VEL Optical Sight mode enabled.
  • Changed Optical Sight Velocity Scale display logic:
    • In '(C + M or SW) R' mode the Target Aspect Angle is displayed.
    • With short range missiles selected and not in '(C + M or SW) R' mode - the Target Closure Velocity is displayed.
  • The Optical Sight target symbol doesn’t disappear anymore when it is near its movement limits.
  • The Optical Sight attitude reticle displayed part is limited now by ~75 degrees of total angle in pitch (it is the physical display limit of the pitch ribbon).
  • Optical Sight 'Normal' and 'Simplified' attitude scales are implemented on a single ribbon now, with a visible animation when the scale type is changed.
  • Implemented animated transition between the 'radar command bar' and the 'gun firing reticle' symbols. These symbols are physically placed on the same reticle ('Moving reticle').

General missile logic:

  • Wingtip missiles can now only be fired with a lock.
  • After review of available sources, Magic 1 and 2 missiles launch delays were reduced to 310 ms.
  • Added radar missile locked and masked tones.

Flight control system and AP fixes:

  • Yaw damper logic reworked: runaway yaw damper issue and oscillation in transonic fixed. Work on improving the behavior in wake turbulence is underway.
  • Fixed AP integral lateral command problems: AP can work with significant asymmetric payloads now.
  • AP ALT mode engagement is much more smooth now.
  • It's no longer possible to connect the AP at all when disconnection conditions are being met.
  • Solved AP disconnection issues with FFB.
  • Fixed control stick slow jitter in some situations when AP was connected.
  • Fixed autopilot roll issues that caused disconnection in MP (and in SP after a longer time).
  • Adjusted yaw damper response (both amplitude and frequency).
  • Adjusted wake turbulence behaviour. Now the aircraft won’t be so much affected by turbulence in yaw.

3D model and textures:

If no target was detected at this moment, the seeker head will drift randomly following the background IR heat. The seeker will return to the boresight once the 'Cannon 600/Identification P' button is released. I.e. if a target is tracked, the button must be held pressed to keep the seeker on the target.
  • AIM-9JULI launch delay was reduced to 0.4 seconds (AIM-9B/P/J still have 0.8 seconds).
  • Magic 1 and 2 scan now is a 5 degrees wide rectangular pattern.
  • Fixed Magic missile scan pattern. Sometimes the scan pattern size was excessively increased.
  • Updated Magic missiles instantaneous seeker FOV. It is now 3.4 degrees wide.

Gyroscope system fixes:

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

Optical Sight improvements and fixes:

  • The Optical Sight target symbol doesn’t disappear anymore when it is near its movement limits.
  • The Optical Sight attitude reticle displayed part is limited now by ~75 degrees of total angle in pitch (it is the physical display limit of the pitch ribbon).
  • Optical Sight 'Normal' and 'Simplified' attitude scales are implemented on a single ribbon now, with a visible animation when the scale type is changed.
  • Implemented animated transition between the 'radar command bar' and the 'gun firing reticle' symbols. These symbols are physically placed on the same reticle ('Moving reticle').

Other systems fixes:

  • Fixed IDN mode switch initial position in F1EE: The animation position didn't match the internal value, so the indicator moves now correctly after selecting the first mode switch position.
  • Added timer to weight on wheels sensors to avoid the antislip kicking in when the wheels were not yet fully in the air.
  • Fixed an error in the VOR/ILS test - direction of the horizontal needle movement was inverted.

Early Access Launch of the DCS: F-15E by RAZBAM

DCS: F-15E Top Tips

  • Radar channels are modelled, so if in MP all are close together and on channel A, then they will see interference that looks like jamming on the radar - they need to deconflict channels.
  • PACS - All none smart weapons have to be manually input into the jet on each in game rearm. 
  • Mic switch needs to be set to "on" to communicate with ground crew - default it is off.
  • A/P button on the UFC keypad not only shows the autopilot menu, but also enables autopilot. If they want to just look at the menu, then use the UFC PB9 from the main menu.  (This is correct behaviour)
  • LANTIRN pod will prohibit laser use above 25kft - intended behaviour.
  • LANTIRN Pod has only FLIR function, no CCD/TV.
  • There is an option in F-15E special options to set how many processor cores are used for the radar - adjusting this will help with FPS issues.
  • Cold Start - Apply the parking brake before setting INS to ALIGN, otherwise the process may fail. Avoid rearming whilst alignment is in progress.

DCS: F-15E by RAZBAM - Known Issues

  • Bombs dropped in AUTO mode can land long of target for wings level release. It is recommended to do a dive bombing for improved accuracy.

DCS Mirage F1 by Aerges

Short range IR missiles:

  • Fixed AIM-9J lock-on audio not being heard.
  • Sidewinder missile will not perform SEAM (scan pattern) anymore as this mode was not implemented in the real F1.
  • 'Cannon 600/Identification P' throttle button will now uncage Sidewinder missiles (except AIM-9B). If no target was detected at this moment, the seeker head will drift randomly following the background IR heat. The seeker will return to the boresight once the 'Cannon 600/Identification P' button is released. I.e. if a target is tracked, the button must be held pressed to keep the seeker on the target.
  • AIM-9JULI launch delay was reduced to 0.4 seconds (AIM-9B/P/J still have 0.8 seconds).
  • Magic 1 and 2 scan now is a 5 degrees wide rectangular pattern.
  • Fixed Magic missile scan pattern. Sometimes the scan pattern size was excessively increased.
  • Updated Magic missiles instantaneous seeker FOV. It is now 3.4 degrees wide.
  • Wingtip missile energization switch now always spawns in ON position.
  • Wingtip missile cooling time increased.

Flight model and control system:

  • Adjusted yaw damper response (both amplitude and frequency).
  • Adjusted wake turbulence behaviour. Now the aircraft won’t be so much affected by turbulence in yaw.

Autopilot:

  • Fixed control stick slow jitter in some situations when AP was connected.
  • Fixed autopilot roll issues that caused disconnection in MP (and in SP after a longer time).

Gyroscope system fixes:

  • Fixed bug that impeded full alignment of the gyros if the Gyro mode switch is moved out of stop before the aircraft has AC power.
  • Gyro failure overhaul:
    • Added new gyroscope related failures.
    • Fixed general gyroscopic central failure (it now works as described in the manual’s failures section).
  • Changed CAP (heading) failure light logic to no longer depend on the attitude gyroscope state.

Various systems changes:

  • BARAX lights test logic will be always working now, disregarding the system test status.

TRAP 136 (‘Green’) and TRAP 137B (‘Red’) radios fixes:

  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Fixed incorrect operation of the radio function selector switch at cold start.
  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Fixed inoperative radio at cold cockpit start up, when the frequency was selected before the radio was powered on.
  • TRAP-136 radio (‘Green’). Selection of the Frequency mode selector 'G' position will not enable the guard receiver anymore. Use 'Pal+G' Function selector position to enable the guard receiver.
  • Fixed both 'Red' and 'Greed' radios function selector switches operation with autostart/autostop macros.

Optical Sight fixes:

  • Fixed a bug with wrong gunsight diameter, when entering A/G mode with VEL Optical Sight mode enabled.
  • Changed Optical Sight Velocity Scale display logic:
    • In '(C + M or SW) R' mode the Target Aspect Angle is displayed.
    • With short range missiles selected and not in '(C + M or SW) R' mode - the Target Closure Velocity is displayed.

General missile logic:

  • Wingtip missiles can now only be fired with a lock.
  • After review of available sources, Magic 1 and 2 missiles launch delays were reduced to 310 ms.
  • Added radar missile locked and masked tones.

Flight control system and AP fixes:

  • Yaw damper logic reworked: runaway yaw damper issue and oscillation in transonic fixed. Work on improving the behavior in wake turbulence is underway.
  • Fixed AP integral lateral command problems: AP can work with significant asymmetric payloads now.
  • AP ALT mode engagement is much more smooth now.
  • It's no longer possible to connect the AP at all when disconnection conditions are being met.
  • Solved AP disconnection issues with FFB.

3D model and textures:

  • Fixed Mirage F1 EE AOA color band lights.
  • Fixed Mirage F1 EE accelerometer reset animation.
  • Fixed right wing pylon. It is identical to the left wing one, instead of being both symmetrical.
  • Added missing SIL label to UHF radio unit.
  • Fixed animation of the anemometer speed bug.
  • Fixed several fuel and radar lights in the Mirage F1 EE.
